70000 ft and just turned SW. I feel like I can hear a faint signal in the noise as well. Calculations says I need 80000 to get line of sight.

Signal is faint and fadey, I can tell that there's SSTV but no decode as yet.

    What SSTV mode is it?

I received a date stamp of 11:32:42. That's the only part of the image that decoded!

Southern Chesapeake Bay : -55 dB Detecting signal, too weak to process. However , antenna is RHCP QFH Omni used for NOAA satellites , if I had a beam , it would
    Likely be copiable.

    Good job !

Looks like it burst at 11:34. It's dropped 30,000 feet.

It looks like it was descending from about 11:40. At 12:00 it was at 4000 ft. I never did hear a signal. I’m in Pittsburgh though. I did hear the June balloon on my HT here though so I was hoping to.

Looks like several people captured some very nice images! Congrats! Turns out I was stuck in the Toronto airport the whole time, and my flight got canceled. had to drive back the Philly overnight. :(

Thanks to all for listening in and supporting/showing interest! Looks like we hit a little over 101,000 feet, but only used 2 watts this time for SSTV and also the Pi volume was turned down to 50% to prevent clipping, but I wonder if I should have had it turned all the way up? I like the idea of trying to fly a cross-band repeater made from a couple of those radio modules sometime - maybe get some folks excited for 2 meter "dx"...
