Nice video. I think if you had a load on the circuit and you pulled the fuse, the red led should light. For KD8DEY, you can make it plaid but that is the next to the last step . 73, Larry WB8LBZ El Paso, TX
I think the red LED will light if the fuse blows, but the dead fuse will have to remain in the holder for this to light work.
Where to get kit? Contact info would be nice. Red Led will light when fuse blows with device pulling more than 20ma is connected. 73 Good job!
They are out of stock right now but here's the link .https://www.hamradioworkbench.com/store/p7/12V_DC_Power_Strip_Complete_Project_Kit.html And this is the case:https://rocketcity3d.ecwid.com/Ham-Radio-Workbench-12V-DC-Power-Strip-Case-p114464423
FYI, if you build one. Be sure to heed their warnings about use and the extreme heat that can develop.
Thanks for the video, Mike. I was a bit confused by the title, however. If you can, you may want to edit the title of this thread. It says "12V Power Supply", which, of course this kit is not. There is no 12V supply in the box. Handy device however. Built one a couple years ago. 73, Terry, WØFM
Mike, you mentioned the gold band on the resistor needed to be in a certain direction. Why? Resistors are not polarity sensitive devices. They can be installed either way. I'm a bit AR so when I build stuff I tend to put them all in the same direction but it's only to look 'pretty' for ME. There's no electrical reason for it.
