The difference between dual standby and dual receiving simultaneously.

RT23 is not same with other radios. It can receiving two voice simultaneously. Other radios can “watch” two channels. Monitor two different frequencies(even on different bands (VHF/UHF)) and the radio will monitor both frequencies giving priority to the first station to receive an incoming call. RT23 not only can “watch” both frequencies, but also can receive two incoming calls at the same time. What is more, you can set the volume mode by the menu 35. MAIN indicates the main frequency sound is louder when receiving, SUB is indicated the sub frequency sound is louder when receiving. OFF indicates both main and sub frequency have the same sound.

Sure need to dig through a lot to find minimal tangible facts about the HT. OK, RX both bands is interesting but can be confusing but PTT both - why? What I'm seeking is ability to TX one band and simultaneously RX the other band - not stated if capable, but a key item for SAT Operations. Assume the cross band repeat is programmable into the 128 memories.
SKU: A9122A..... $59.99 (per web site)

The manual missing much data! (typical crappy Ching-English manual)
    manual PDF http://www.retevis.com/rt23-resources/
battery life? [Li-ion 7.4V/1600mAH per web site]
high power per band? (per web site 5W) - not in manual
low power per band? (per web site 4W) - really not 1W?
high power TX current? Maybe 1.6A per manual?
    low power TX current?
RX current? No audio/Full unsquelched audio?
    pin-outs to HT connectors?
    easy SQL setting?
PC programming? Program/data cable? Programming setup? - none stated

Since it touts dual band RX it would be very nice if the Speaker connector had the capability to separate the audio into per-band external speakers/headphones - if it can it's not stated, aka no pin-outs.

Too many unanswered questions for me to purchase.

Others have that feature, even Icom handhelds can dual receive (in dual band operation) ... a bit confusing at first. But punch the PTT and you'll block the other channel.

Gee, and I thought this was an article explaining the difference between dual standby and dual receive. Would have been more suited in the equivalent review section.
