    OK guys,
I'm hiking up to Mt Waterman on Saturday 4/28 to try out this SOTA thing.
I just picked up an ft-857 and LDZ AT. Antenna is a Buddistick vertical, power comes from a couple of 4S Lipos thru a Astron DC to DC converter.
Plan is to try and get as many QSOs as possible starting noon Pacific. Initially on 7.285 MHz, then 14.285 MHz.
If you are spinning dials Sat noon, please listen for an out of breath 50 something newbie.

    Thanks

    Mike

Not a problem if you operate Morse. ;)

Looks like Sunday now. We lost a team member to finals. Same time and Freqs.

    That's true!
I am working on learning this strange new language. I hope to pick up a portable key soon so I don't have to lug my heavy key up a mountain.
