Well I couldn't call it a Hazer.
This is a homebrew antenna dollie welded and fabricated by me.
I have been a certified welder and fabricator for over 15 yrs.
If you are tired of paying the big $$$$ for these then look no further. These will only cost you $275.00 + actual shipping cost.
I ship ONLY TO LOWER 48 if you are DX please don't ask unless you have a US address to ship to.
At this time I am only offering them to fit the 20 & 25g tower sections but I do accept custom orders.
I have 2 of these built they are 41 inchs long and the best part is there is only 6 grade 8 bolts that put it together every thing else is welded.
I can also add the piece of pipe you see in the pic if you don't have a thrust bearing.Takes up to a 1 7/8 mast with this add on otherwise it's a 2" hole.
REMEMBER after these 2 are sold I will build them as orders come in so please be patient.
Please allow 7 buisness days to be built and shipped.
Prices subject to change if steel price goes up so get yours today.
Any questions PLEASE E-MAIL me at my call @ yahoo.com.
Thanks for taking the time to look.
No the rotor does not come with it.

I came across this older transverter while helping clean out an estate. I am not sure who the manufacturer is, or if it is homebuilt, or?? I'll be happy to hear any information you may be able to provide about this transverter. I was going to strip it down for parts, but thought before it gets butchered I should check with the knowledgeable folks here on QRZ, it does appear to be "working", it does turn on and the tubes glow but I have not verified correct operation yet. The case is very much like Collins equipment where the top has a "hatch" that opens up to reveal the tubes, etc. The transmitter tube is a "Amperex 5894B/8737" if that helps any. Any info is appreciated, as well as an estimated value (to give me an idea if it's better for parts or re-sale for the estate) Thanks!

I have a VX-8R and it takes a long time - sometimes 10 minutes after turning on for the radio to get a GPS fix (outdoors in the sun). This happens when using the remote microphone with the GPS antenna mounted on the mic or when the GPS antenna is mounted directly on the top of the radio.

I tried cleaning the contacts between the GPS antenna and the remote microphone and the holder mounted on the radio but nothing seems to improve the situation.

Any ideas?
