Today it was 78 here by the water. Normal is more like 70-75. Fine. 5 miles inland at work this afternoon it was a good deal warmer at around 87.
The predictions for the next few days show weather warning for Washington State and British Columbia in a Heat warning.
Predictions are for 85-90 near the water. This will push my work area to near 100 no doubt.
BC and WA interior valleys WILL see 100 and 110 is not unheard of in drier deserty locations.
Friends in the PNW... its a beach weather weekend. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Only 90? Cripes, I might need my jacket for that. It's going to be nice 107 in NorCal tomorrow and then a cooling trend on Sunday. All the way down to 105.

Well on my balcony now at 10:45pm I have 80 degrees. I expect this is Chico CA or Dawson GA (Hot places I have lived) but not here. This is actually a hot, slow moving air mass broken off from the south pacific. Actually from NorCal to Central BC there is a heat warning.
Today on this balcony in the shade I got 89 for a high (I have a slight breeze off the water. Beach Temps are in the 70s)
In town, where I work, it's a valley 5 miles inland. The temp. reached 98 in town. Sone hams on 80m reported over 100 from their balconies. I actually like the heat and have little trouble with it.
I'm curious as to how warm Puget Sound got across the pond

Well, It's 1600 on the left coast and it is 112 in Cameron Park, Ca. That would just east of Sacramento.

We heard from our son in Olympia, Wa yesterday and man was he complaining. To save money, rented a place without air conditioning and has never had the a/c on his car repaired since he moved out there several years ago. Reports had it 100 or so in that area yesterday and man was that boy whining. After hearing how beautiful his weather is when we have cold and snow or heat and humidity here in Nebraska and how he wouldn't move back here on a bet because of the weather, he didn't get a whole lot of sympathy from his mother and me. Too bad, so sad, suck it up and stop whining, kid. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
