Brooklyn/Staten Island Con is Back!

It appears the Brooklyn/Staten Island Con Artist is back. He uses various call signs and names. He is the most nortorious 'radio con' to date and started with CBers before the internet. He has defrauded to well over $100K in the last 10 years. Ray Cohen (KB2GFY) is his most common alias. His real name is Peter Matera, yet will sign Manteo or Matero on signature required parcels. It has been suggested he is performing the 'cons' with cooperation of the local carrier delivery person(s) as well. You can report him to www.ifccfbi.gov and call St. Doyle in NYC at 212-374-4247 (Computer Fraud Investigation Unit). This info was gathered from various hams and partly comfirmed with the FBI. Simply, do not deal with NYC persons for your safety- so sorry to honest NYC Hams.
