I hate to send you this email but I have encountered a problem with a Ham who listed a item for TRADE .The item he wanted to trade was a PK232/PSK31 TIMEWAVE TNC. http://www.qrz.com/ib-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST&f=1&t=125192.I (http://www.qrz.com/ib-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST&f=1&t=125192.I) sent him e-mail offering my Kenwood TM-G707A.He said fine I shipped my kenwood via ups July5,06.On July 13 After a lot of hot emails to the individual he did send me a package containing a Orig Model PK232 ..NOT aTIMEWAVE as he had offered.and had listed on the QRZ swap board
He is now trying to trade my radio using the QRZ Online #Swapmeet.
Please do a search on his Call sign #W4SGS as he is trying to and will defraud the other hams at present time.
At this time he is trying to make a deal with the following call signs ;DU1VDV,K5THR,N3GY,N1WT,AK6E,KD6FYK,N1WT,KC6MIC,W4 lgh.
I called him on his phone and got a tape message to leave message for a return call."I tlold him to call me Friday morning betweel 8 and 9am he has not called as of this mailing .

As of today Sonny called me to ask how much money I wanted for the TM-707A I told him $300.00 or return the rig.
I day later I get a email stating he visited a ham dealer and the rig retails now for $289.00 + shipping.He said the thought I should reduce the price to $200.00 .Im the mean time he is posting on QRZ that he had 2 two rigs to trade for a IC-706 a Yaesu and a Kenwood TM-707a
(my rig) he tells the owner of the 706 that his 2 FM rigs are worth $600.00.And he want me to accept $200.00 ,And to top it all off he wants me to wait until AUG 1,06 before he can send the $$ .
I emailed him back demanding my rig back or $300.00 and I would return his PK232 .He will have to pay for the shipping.
Im very happy to know I can get all the call signs in his AREA Code and adjoining areas .Ill be looking up there emails and letting them know what kind of person Sonny is.
I will up date this posting till things are solved.

I am sorry you are not pleased with the trade BUT, yes BUT, first off you decided to still complete and agree in the trade. I was listening to the phone conversation via speaker phone while he and you was talking the details and further information. What does this mean? Well for one, you taking a $500 piece of equipment of a TNC and you trade a $279 dual band radio it seems YOU SIR are trying to take advantage of Sonny in my book! He told you on the PHONE that it was the original PK-232 "The Original" before Timewave bought out the company and YOU decided and agreed on the phone to go ahead with the trade. YOU did, not he. You agreed to go ahead and trade and the TNC works fine I seen it work my self before he shipped to you sir.

You said you wanted a ridiculous $300 from him to be happy, that's plain out bull, you can go to many ham radio dealers and find this radio NEW for $279 brand new, not used. A fair used estimate price that that radio is about $200 to $225.

Man you are just being fair, the TNC I know myself as Sonny's Ham Radio friend knows and vouches the TNC was what he said it was.

You seem to be trying to trade a $200 radio for a $500 TNC is a bit like you wanting to get a steal of a deal.

I have dealt with Sonny W4SGS with lots of trades and everything and he will not rip a soul off. I have also had him where he paid me payments on things and he has never once failed. #He is a very good person and treats people right. I have looked up the TNC and it is no cheap TNC at all. #AEA became Timewave it is the same piece of equipment. I feel as you are trying to get by with a TNC that is priced as on a website for 519.95 and a used priced for that product is $300.00 bucks. I have also looked up the TNC on other sites and the lowest price for a used one is 125.00 bucks but this isn’t counting shipping.

On the TNC PK-232/MBX By AEA (Advanced Electronic Applications, Inc.). Timewave bought them out so that is why it does not have on the face of it Timewave but AEA. So do not e-mail me because it will be sent to a spam folder due to being known as Harassment e-mails. Only reason I posted on this matter is due to I have dealt with this person a lot and he would never do anyone wrong.
