Nice setup!!

I think you need to learn how to park your motorhome. It makes the tower look like it's leaning a bit. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Had to give a dig but looks like a nice setup, more tower than I can put up at the house.

It looks like a good Es take-off angle to me. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Now I have to get off me bum and find a house. I want one of those towers!!!

You have to sell the house to buy a motorhome ( with attached crank-up tower ! )

Is that a Six meter beam or a 80 meter with loaded coils on the elements? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

We got a few shots of our operation before the rain set in late Saturday night...the tent and equipment therein basically got flooded so we had to tear everything down and pack it away.

Still managed to squeak a few hundred contacts out - including a few on 20M RTTY...

I took the camera, but guess what, I didn't snap any photos. Several members of the club did, so when they get the photos up I will post links here to some worth sharing, and a direct link to the gallary.

We know Steve, but it's ok. You were busy being a TV star. (Thought we didn't see that, huh?!)

haha.. they must have shown that video at 10, we watched the 6 o'clock broadcast from FD site and it was only my profile with the handheld, no audio.

I kept meaning to pull out my camera, but never did.

KU4MY,

Ok I gave this thread a couple of days before asking this question so it could stay on topic, at least for a little while.

It would appear that tower is leaning a bit to the right. Is this a political statement? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

That feels better. Like I said, I've been holding that one in for a day or two and wasn't sure how long I could last.

Here is a link to some of our club pic's

The vertical on the ladder is a cushcraft A4

The other vertical is a 40m that I built and got it's first test on fieldday. First test found an Swr of 1.5 through 1.7 on the entire band. An it performed very well Sunday morning. 55q's in 50 minutes including one from Hawiiai from the east coast of Canada.

Plus we had an 80m dipole hung from the ladder as well. But it never got used.

The club was VE9LC Loyalist City Amateur Radio Club.

After spending 24 hours straight trying to get a DSTAR contact, amateur Hubert "Puddles" Mc Gooby collapses before getting back to his tent:

Something just doesn't look right with that picture. I think that tent in the back is missing a stake. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Long into the night, the GOTA station still ticking... even if the control op might not be!

Here I am handing the Mayor of Virginia Beach her certificate after she operated the GOTA station.
