The sad thing is that I am sure that all of the government power-grabbing, spending, soldiering and posturing have not made us one wit more "safe". I was chilled to learn that the reason the poison gas was not released for mass death on the NY subways was because the attack would not be "big enough".

I believe we will be hit again and it will be dramatic, possibly nuclear. I know I am sitting on a big target, but you are on a bigger one John.

This is terrible. I know that Al Gore guy is scaring the hell out our grand-kids about how the world is going to suffer from natural disasters and possibly come to a sudden end if we don't vote for him. What do you think we can do about troublesome politicians who #want to start these systematic campaigns to frighten people? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Sadly, now that I have learned to like the guy, he is not running.

Don't forget about the blood running in the streets and FL tourists shot for looking at someone funny, that will result from concealed carry laws and "no duty to retreat" laws. And of course the machine gun fire galore, thanks to the expired "assault weapons ban."

More tourists in Florida are being killed by sharks and alligators than firearms. Cheer up and stop praying for disasters. And why would anybody want to a part of an organization that needs disasters for good news anyway?

Many people now believe that George W. Bush lied to them before the Iraq war...but there are still too few who understand that he is still lying to us. He is definately lying about our reasons to stay in Iraq and he tries to be overly optimistic about any future Iraqi government stability.

Some nut killed his wife and all of his kids with a gun. If he had used a kitchen knife maybe at least one of his kids might have escaped his spasmatic trigger finger. Now don't tell me about some crazy people who drove cars off cliffs into rivers killing all their kids because they didn't have gun permits. I dunno about crazy people...but guns were designed for frightening people and/or killing.

w2ilp (Insure Lethal Pistols)..that may be used by uninsred murderers.

Understanding sarcasm is so important. Note: this post also is sarcastic. We're drowning in the stuff. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Did this "nut" have a concealed carry permit? Did it somehow hypnotize him and suggest that he kill his wife and kids? Would you be happy to hear that they were butchered or bludgeoned to death? What the hell is your point? Should we confiscate all the knives, blunt objects and sharp sticks too? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Hey, all of this stuff is bad.

I'm getting old and my memory is not as good as it was. Didn't both sides of the house and senate vote to authorize bush to take action?

All I have to say is now the dirty work is done, where in the hell is the United Nations?

Please clarify what "machine guns" and the "assault weapons ban" have to do with each other? The "assault weapons ban" had nothing to do with machine guns, to the best of my knowledge.

2nh,

It is obvious that we really don't care when we are lied to. At least he did not wave his finger when he lied to us. That is what makes the lie unforgivable. When Bush lies, his lips smirk. That is way cool. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It sounds like you are concerned with the way we are spoken to. We're Americans. We can't understand all that "...east, west, south, and north somewhat" mumbo jumbo. That high level speak educated way much.

If you are referring to the quote about Saddam creating new weapons programs, I might point out that this is in reference to historical data received by the CIA from the year 218 AD. It was actually referring to his great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grand uncle Saddam Enoch Hussein. You never know if those Fed Ex shipments are just now getting in from Niger.

Also, most of the WMD are hidden no one will find them because no one will do any cavity checks on Saddam. That's right.

Lessee. What else can I lie about? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Oh, yes, they did. #Congress authorized the use of force based on the intel (that later turned out to be lies, see the link in the first post of this thread) and after bush promised that force would be a very last resort. #Weeks later, after little or no diplomacy had been tried, we attacked Iraq. #Some "last resort"; that was a lie, too, as bush intended to attack from the start. # He was just trying to adjust the intel to make Iraq look like a threat.

Solid evidence that shows this administration lied to congress which is a felony.

If the democrats take over the House and Senate, Bush will be impeached and finally held accountable for his lies and manipulation.

There were two types of weapons found in Iraq according to CNN. First was a large cache of swords, spears, and other medivel weaponary often associated with islam. Second, it was reported that a battalion of english soldiers on manuvers north of Tikrit found seven functional and fully armed MiG jets buried in the sand. I find it ironically sad that after the 9/11 attack that nobody seems to think that a fighter jet is a WMD and that everyone has now forgotten about this discovery. I am neither pro nor anti Bush. I don't fully agree with him, but I have been to Iraq and I know what it was like when I was there. I think that we are right to be there, but I think that how things have been handled is wrong. We are all looking at this wrong. I am certain that the President knows this. I am also certain that if Gore or Kerry had been in office on 9/11 there would have been more deaths here in the US than there were. I do not trust Gore or Kerry. I never will (hint: I have read both of thier books and can easily pick them apart. Both tend to make things seem better or worse than they really are, especially Gore. Just read "Earth in the Balance" and see how badly he distorts the truth).
