Leading up to this year's anniversary of D-Day, the nation was so obsessed with the 6-6-6 superstition while the buffoons still suck down their "Freedom fries", that it was little noted in the corporate media that the French still honor brave Americans.

The French are the bad guys right now. Responsible reporting on the news, especially world wide, is something Americans don't need or want anyway.

Screw the French...they're not us.

The French government is run by politicians just like ours. They know when it's time to kiss some butt. That's what this is.

On the other hand, it's no secret that Americans and the US are not the favourite of the common French citizen. But then again they don't seem to like anyone. If you think Americans are treated badly there, I hear French Canadians have it worse. They are seen as imposters.

Only in Normandy, where the citizens have thousands upon thousands of American graves as reminders do they remember what Americans did for them. The rest of the country doesn't seem to particularly care that we are the only reason the official language of France isn't German.

It is nice for these vets though that they're finally being decorated. Too many of them gave their lives for what has turned out to be a bunch of ingrates. But then that could be said about much of Europe, North Africa and Iran too.

Sad.

It is also sad that we have a large number of US citizens that are totally ungrateful to those that have sacrificed. I hope to go to Normandy someday as I have an uncle layed to rest there that I have yet to meet.

I think it's too late.

The French are about as low life as they come. #Recently they named a street after convicted police killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. They can stick the honor for the World War II vets. (nothing against the vets).
