MAHA battery for Yaesu VX-7R?

I recently bought a MAHA battery for my VX-7R, and am already contemplating returning it. I didn't particularly notice whether the battery life was comparable to the Yaesu stock battery, but when I removed the battery after the first use to swap back with the factory one, I noticed the little rubber band used to make the water-tight seal was loose. Upon closer examination, it seemed to be of a rather cheap and poor quality.

As such, I'm worried about the battery not keeping a water-tight seal with the unit and I'm seriously contemplating returning it and buying the Yaesu battery instead. Does anyone else have any experience with MAHA batteries? Did I make a mistake buying the "cheap" option, rather than just going with the Yaesu battery?

I recently purchased three FNB-80li backup batteries for my VX-7R from www.batteriesamerica.com and have had no problem at all with them. They cost half what Yaesu wants for them. Give them a try.
