Cheapest: $3.13 @ Arco in Lathrop, or $3.12 At Joes Travel (right up the highway)

Average seems to be anywhere from $3.15-3.21 in most of the area.

Highest: $3.27 at a Shell in downtown Stockton, $3.35 at an Exxon on El Dorado near I-5. #That station has always been high though, it was $3.25 for the longest time even when other stations were at $3, and once prices hit about $3.15 they went up 10 cents. #Every day I drive by and people are fueling there though, so I guess they are still making money.

Rumor has it that there is a station in Sacramento at $2.98 but I haven't seen it with my own eyes.

The boaters on the delta this year are seeing prices in excess of $4 for 87 for boats. #Not unusual though, those 'water stations' are always 50-70 cents higher, no matter what the going rate. I told my mother in law it'd be cheaper to haul out 2 5 gallon cans to thiers each time they go out to it, they will eventually get a full tank for much cheaper. Many of the people at thier dock have been doing that for weeks now instead of motoring downriver to $4 a gallon.

any where from $2.57 to $2.79 ...87 octane

But those of us who have stock in the oil companies are not making as much money as we used to ...we need higher prices to get rich quicker.

At this rate we will never get filthy rich. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

For years and years, I could buy the little dual pack of "Goody" combs for $0.50 in our Kuparuk store. About 2-3 years ago the same pack went to $0.75 and then about a year ago it went to $1.00. Yesterday I bought a pack for $1.20, so the price increase has been about 240 percent in recent years.

So a barrel of oil will roughly buy 50 little dual-comb packs as it always has. Interestingly, an ounce of gold still buys well over a Tonne of oil.

and the gvt keeps telling us inflation is right around 3.5%/year.

The gas stations down the street from me in Ontario, CA are around $3.25/gal for 87 octane. Near my workplace in Anaheim gas was about $3.20/gal when I drove home this evening. I'd like to be able to buy gas at the price back home. Great Falls, MT gas prices are pretty close to those in Helena.

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif Who the Heck cares what the prices are? Really....everyone talks about it and does nothing but pay' so why bother looking for the "Lowest Price" which is a joke.

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif There All High Folks

The sooner we get $8/gal gas the better, then maybe someone, somewhere might get really po'd and start using less. But I wouldn't make book on that either.

No offense, but it must suck to live in California... Back when Katrina hit last year and gas shot up to $3.00 here, everyone had a heart attack it seemed... you people are used to it and talk about it like it's common place... http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif I do feel sorry for you.

Gas prices in Houston range from $2.80 - $3.00. I thought that was bad, but I see that it is worse in some places.

$2.91 in Anchorage.

Been riding my bike and taking the bus to work quite a bit the last 6 weeks.

Usually bus most of the way to work and bike the final 4 miles. I bike the whole way home after work.

$1.75 for the bus ride. Driving back and forth would take a gallon of gas at $3.00. Takes me 30 minutes longer to take the bus, but I can live with that.

I've been doing nothing different at all. I think I would if gas was in the $8 range.
