Per his bride of 50+ years, it is with much sadness I report the passing of yet another Oregon amateur. Max S. Johnson, kb7tmh, passed away overnight May 21st from complications related to cancer. He was 84. Licensed as early as 1962, Max enjoyed ham radio and public service events until just recently. He was involved with Multnomah County (OR) ARES and the Portland Fire Bureau N.E.T. team. He also enjoyed participation with the Portland Marathon and helping the local Handi-Hams program. Many Portland metro area hams can call Max friend and he will be missed by all.
