I am looking for a new FM rig with extended receive from 30MHz to 1GHz. The DR635 comes close.
I do see a extended RX mod for this unit. Does nayone know what the new receive frequency range is after the mod?

Looks like, according to several sources, approximately 135-170 and 430-477 MHz....do a google, there's several sources mentioning a blue looped wire....

Been there, Done that. The Radio's RX already has 87 to 480MHz. What I would like to know is what is the "EXTENDED RX" when you cut that blue wire!

Havent bought one yet.
I will buy one If I can get decent RX frequency range (ie. 30MHz low end)or install the 2/44 rig I have in the shack and buy a scanner.
