Now, Mr. Bush wouldn't do anything illegal or unconstitutional would he? I'm sure the domestic spying is for our own good. Pay no attention to that little man behind the curtain...

Much as I don't like the trol...<cough> Bush, I don't have as problem with this, at least as I hear it from the phone companies. They are releasing phone numbers, times called, not contents of conversations to the NSA. Granted I heard this bit on the news during hannity's radio program. (But it was the local news, not part of hannity's bit)

In the early days of home telephones we didn't listen to anybody we didn't call unless they were on our party lines. This was the first bi-partysan communication. You would be surprised at what some peopole said on the telephone, when they didn't know that third parties were listening.
I used to listen to the Maritime telephone marine operator on 150 Meter AM. You could hear telephone conversations between people on ships talking to people on shore via the commercial phone patches. Some sailors would call their XYLs or girl friends, who they hadn't seen in months and discuss in detail what they planed to do as soon as they got on the shore. This was better than an X rated soap opera and probably a good reason for lots of folks to buy general coverage radio receivers even if they didn't plan to be SWLs or Hams. According to the FCC it was illegal to tell anyone what you heard...but it wasn't illegal to listen.

Dave,
I have to ask: Do you, by chance, have any overseas phone numbers to "Osama Yo Mama" and his band of "Merry Men"? No, I didn't think you did either. So why are you guys worrying about this? It's just another opprotunity to bash Bush, right? You can't MoveOn from the last election, so, in desparation, this what you all have resorted to. And look where you're getting your information: CNN-one of the lowest (next to MSNBC) rated cable news companies in the country. Ever wonder why they've "fallen from grace" with most Americans? Could it be because of liberal bias? Naw, not CNN. Say it isn't so.
Why didn't you guys worry about kind of "trolling" during the Klinton Administration? Klinton was spying on EVERYONE. Oh, that's right, I almost forgot: It was okay for "Slick Willie" to do this because he's a... what's the word... LIBERAL. Let a Liberal President do this to EVERYONE and that's acceptible to you guys. Ah, #but let Bush do this for overseas calls only and, all of a sudden, there's going to be a BIG "4th Amendment Showdown".
It's just more liberal double standards. You libs better wake up. This isn't any way to win an election with the American People. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

That's a vaguely specific request. Would you like to elaborate? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

TERRORISTS WHAT TERRORISTS,I THINK GEORGE BUSH IS THE BIGGEST TERRORIST WE HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT, AND YES HE MUST BE RELATED TO THE TROLLS,DIDN'T THEY COME FROM SOMEWHERE DOWN IN TEXAS ? I THINK THEY WERE SPAWNED FROM OIL WELLS AND LARGE PILES OF MONEY. SERIOUSLY TAPPING PHONES LOOKING FOR TERRORISTS IS AN ABUSE OF POWER AND ENABLING THE PATRIOT ACT WAS NOT AN INTELLIGENT MOVE,THIS ACT LEGALIZED THESE ABUSES AND MANY PEOPLE DIDN'T REALIZE THIS,IT AT LEAST LEGITIMIZED IT ,AND NOW THERE ISN'T A HELL OF A LOT OF RECOURSE THAT CAN BE HAD,AND DON'T THINK BUSH'S LAWYERS DON'T KNOW IT EITHER.

'ROM, dude ... as much as I dislike our current president, it was during the Clinton (not Klinton, Gary ... c'mon. we're more adult than that now) administration that legislation moved through Congress allowing this sort of thing.
And note, on your keyboard, between the "Tab" & "Shift" keys, and adjacent to the "A" key is another one named "Caps Lock". #Please press this key once before posting again. #It's a polite thing to do.
Please return to the partisan bickering now, and sorry for the interruption! #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
