The Unicorn was a very popular song here back in the early 70's.
There was another Cd group called the "Stampeders" that had a couple of good songs back then too.
My favorite Canadian song is "Take off, to the great White North", or maybe "The Safety Dance", kind of a tossup.

Yep, I remember listening to the Unicorn Song as a child. I kinda think earlier than the early 70s but I can't swear to it. In fact I have it on my mp3 player. But I never heard of anything else they did.
I got some green alligators and long neck geese . . .
I just can't see no unicorns . . .
I can vaguely remember that song, too, but I must admit that "The Chieftains" has to be my favorite Irish group. Man, Paddy and the gang are getting OLD ! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I like the Irish Rovers.
Their song, "The Orange and the Green" is a bit politcal.
The ending of one verse, "He'd play the harp, or play the flute, depending where he was!"
