Patriarchy.
And it's why I didn't vote for bush in '00, makes me a little too nervous.
Hopefully we will have a canditate I feel I CAN vote for, that is either someone conservative, somewhat honest or hopefully both. (But not TOO conservative)

I hate to say it, being the centre-leftie that I am, but George H W Bush (i.e. Papa) would pretty much fit that bill. What the hey, he's still eligible for another term.

I'm not too keen on Jeb. Darn sure will NOT vote for Ms. "Stand By Your Man" Hillary Klinton.
If this is gonna be the only two choices we get, I'll vote for:

You would be mistaken. We'd sit back and watch the spin as we do now. And it would be a real hoot too. This administration has been one of the most hilarious in my lifetime. I'd love to see how they'd top it.
Oddly enough, I think it would be very interesting if the next president was a Bush. Why?
I think that during the last 6 years the credibility of the Government has been badly damaged. I also think the economy, the treasury and the war have left things in such bad shape the next president may say, "No Nude Taxes!", but we're still going to get them. There will not be any other choice left to him. It will either be that or declaring the Gov't bankrupt. Of course who will they blame? Clinton?
Let it be Bush III to be the one that does it. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
What about 2012 and 2016? Is there yet another, lesser-known Bush? Like Zeppo or Gummo?

Actually what the scary part is......is the simple fact that a good portion of voters vote the party line. ALWAYS. You could toss a rotted head of lettuce up as the republican canidate for president and 30% of the vote would automatically vote for it.
Just like a rabbit hitting that bar to get that pellet....

I've heard the severe-thunderstorm-warning-during-tornado-watch sirens around here quite a few times this year. So when we have a real tornado warning? We should hear Iron Maiden. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Why is it that so many of us forget that the Bush Family is directly decended from God Himself? I've heard the President say that he talks directly to God and Pastor Bob wouldn't lie to me about who I need to vote for.

We don't need another Bush in office, especially Jeb. He is the biggest idiot that has ever been in office! I'd sooner see Dan Quayle in office before Jeb Dufus gets in there!
K0RGR
05-11-2006, 08:38 PM
Yes, where is Dan Quayle when we need him? In only 13 years, he has become one of the more mentally gifted members of his party.
A debate between candidate Quayle and candidate HR Clinton would be a real hoot. "I knew Bill Clinton, Bill Clinton was a friend of mine, and YOU are no Bill Clinton...".
Could be interesting, but they'd have to stop playing "Hail to the Chief" at presidential events and instead play Britney Spear's "Oops I Did It Again". :P
