Just learned today that Del Popwell K4NBN (FL) passed away last August. Del was famous for his Magnolia Blossom QSL cards that he sent out. Going to me missed in the Ham World

I've just returned to the hobby after a few year's absence. This is the first time I've looked at this topic and it came as a shock to see K4 No Bad News had died. His was the first US station I ever worked and his kindness and gentle humour will always live with #me.
When my XYL was licensed the following year she made a point of working Dell because we'd listened to him so many times.
Sad news indeed.
