Yeah i like the movie.. probably my whole family does so i was 'raised on it'.
Could it ever be made again is a question some ask..
Sadly...very sadly... i doubt it...
'Wesley' has had demeaning roles in Twister and Saw.
Inigo... where did here go?
Buttercup.. she is probably the only one that is still in charactor
Fezzic. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif RIP Andre
Billy Crystal in his small role would still be good
But could they make it a simple family movie again PG rated for mild violence and one cuss word http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif ?
Probably not they would ruin it.
Also the soundtrack.. the best intermental i've heard was from this/// Remember Inigo getting his father to guide his sword to the tree... the music... that's a very nice peace even to a countryboy like me.
No don't ever replace this movie... it's a classic 80/90s (forget the year)
The tried with mad, mad world... rat race was funny be pls.. not like the orginal http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

"The Spaniard", Inigo Montoya, is on TV selling Crestor, a medicine to reduce your cholesterol. The movie came out in 1987.

That's one of my favorite movies, and has many quotes.
"Laugh while you can, monkeyboy"
"It's your hand, Buckeroo."
"What's in the cakebox?"
"Big Deal!"
The syntho-tech theme music was the greatest. Hard to believe that movie is over 21 years old.
"Buckeroo" makes a great vilian as "Henderson" on "24".

He is also starring in a cop serial "Criminal Minds" or some such title. He overacts in it just as much as in any other part he has ever had on tv or movies.
Liked 'Wesley' in Robin Hood: Men in Tights. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I'm glad to see such agreement about the simple little tale that has indeared itself to me for such a long time! I've seen it several times, but always watch it again when I have the opportunity. I think that a lot of the charm of the movie has to do with the fact that it has one of those "they all live happily every after" type of endings that we all dreamed about when we were kids about the age of Freddy Prince when he starred as the sick kid being read the story by his Grandpa!
If they tried to re-do it today, it would probably turn into one of those "Lord of the Rings" type of "events" with all kinds of computerized scenes, etc. I honestly don't believe that kids see that sort of thing in their imaginations, but that they have a vision closer to that presented in the "fire swamp" with large, rat-like animals that were obviously guys dressed up in holloween-type costumes, wreaking their havok on "Wesley" and "Buttercup"!
Brilliant piece of work, which shall remain timeless !

One of my all-time favorite movies!
Check out this re-enactment of a famous scene. This kid is great!

I've never seen that movie, and here is an entire thread about it.
Should I rent it this week, or should I work on my antenna situation?

Didn't you say you had a daughter? If so, you'll someday see every "bride" movie ever made. Twice. I'd work on antennas. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
