Unusual yes, but he's not the first. In the early part of the 20th Century (can't remember the year-having a senior moment) a railroad worker walked into the doctor's office with a piece of steel rod driven though his skull and the frontal lobes of his brain from a railroad explosion. Doctors removed the steel rod and the man lived to be a ripe old age although his personality changed drasticly. The man started charging people admission to see this rod. The man's name is Phineas Gage. His death mask is on display at the Harvard School of Medicine.

Most drug addicts aren't exactly the brightest people.

Pass the asprin.

Anybody who does does such a crazed thing to himself has to be a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Lets hope some other drug induced lunatics don't think it might be a "fun thing" to try it on a vagrant or a drunk on a park bench

Hi guys,

The original story a couple of years ago made no mention of drugs, he was having problems with his girlfriend. This looks like a classic case of Chinese Telephone.

Thanks for the link to the Tesla coils.

Remarkable. Twelve nails to the head and no significant long term effects.

I would conclude that there was nothing in that head that twelve nails could affect. Very simple, really.

The nails probably don't help it much either. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

If I did this, they would probably want a refund. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
