Corb Lund is pretty popular here in the Dallas area. He packs the house when he plays any of the clubs in Deep Ellum.
One local radio station (non-commercial) plays his stuff, and I first heard him when he did a few songs live from their studio. "The truck got stuck" and "Ballad of a five-dollar bill" are a couple of my favorites!
