Me ? :blush: No I dont think so...

several reasons ----
1) computer too slow ( dial - up @ 24 kbps at the maximum ) .

2) I dont know THAT much about computers anyway.

3) personal record here @ qrz. Already been labeled a " troll / trouble maker / jack - rabbit / and problably at least one more word that George Calrin said could not be used on tv ". I practically stay near the BANNING line 23 hours out of 24 a day .

4) possibly a lousy judge of others conduct and how to punish them if at all --folks will always use the defense of " well you did worse, so shut up fool !! "

5) pay is too high

6) I dont need a hummer.

7) I cant leave ai4fp to run Alabama all by him self.

8) you folks would miss me

9 ) supper would get cold

10 ) sales at this site might drop ( lose advertisers ).

But --- on the positive side ----------

1) women would be willing to bargain to keep from being barred for breaking the rules

2) excellent spelling - pronounciation ability.

3) less than 50 years old

4) from Alabama

5) extra class licensed amateur radio operator.

So with all due respect, I don t think I qualify.

ARRL staff members (including Bored Members) are free to make personal comments if the wish (and have done so in the past) but no one person there speaks for the whole organization, and rightly so.
I would assume any post here coming from "W1AW" would be bogus.

Mods? Good grief man! NOT "mods" Any "mod" here tends to get boiled in oil, and drawn and quartered, and THEN sent to the Tower of London. (Of course, some deservedly so, when asking for something illegal.)

OH; you mean "moderator!" Wish you Brits could learn to speak regular... like, you know, "President's American." (As opposed to the "Queen's English."

TIC (tongue in cheek) of course, OM, and no offense meant. It IS 1 April, after all. Just meant to tease a bit.

And as an operator of a well-known club station here in the U.S., (with MANY many International visitors on a daily basis) I can say I am very glad the FCC and the counterpart in your own country FINALLY agreed to allow third party communications between our Amateur stations! It has made many of our "visitors" happy to talk to some of their countrymen when visiting our station. Propagation aloowing of course. Sometimes they can only listen or talk to some of your colonies "down under."

It is just a slightly older colloquial expression that found its way into some literary usage. It means roughly that you may be so honest that you are "brutally honest" (another such phrase) and actually make yourself or others uncomfortable.

Well...let me put it this way ---

If you wanted a radio check and you sounded lousy ( squeal / muffled audio / reverb~echo not adjusted correctly/background fan or other noise ) ...I would tell you that you sound lousy. to tell you that you sounded ok would be a lie.

No one else " kisses up " to me, therefore I see no reason to lie to you.

You know what I mean, I just aint that good at putting it all in words like some of you are.

Sounds interesting, sounds like it will be a unique area for folks under age of 25 or so ( guess ? ).

I welcome the idea.

The O F can go there and read and learn a thing or two without embarassing themselves ( or their frail ego ), like how to build a di-pole, solder a pl-259, etc.
