Link's on the thread in the News section. This isn't over, he's going to use every pseudo-legal argument he can come up with to stall this, and, as long as the case is still in the courts, he can still transmit. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I saw that right after I posted here . Ooops . Ain't the first time it's been done and I bet it won't be the last . I'm hopin' that Riley and the boys will take him off the air in short order . From the link on the news thread , it says that he won't be getting a hearing . Best news I've had in a while .

It's just too bad the squeaky, rusty wheels at the FCC turn so painfully slowly. Too many warnings, not enough actual enforcement.
If the man (no pun intended) would play by the rules we are all supposed to follow, there would be no reason for this, no reason for FCC proceedings, or interference on the bands. After all, K1MAN IS a "no-code Tech" troublemaker, isn't he??? (Display sarcasm emoticon here...)
Just like Gerittson, we are better off with them off the air.

As far as I can tell, this is just for the civil proceedings. Is he going to get jail time for the criminal proceedings (interferring with the coast guard rescue)?

I wasn't aware that he'd done that. I think Jack Gerritsen out in Cali is the one who interfered with CG comms. Looks like the FCC won't turn the other cheek more than a half dozen times.

Must be out of your skip zone for existing band condx.
When 20M gets its act together again (in a year or two), point your antenna east and listen on 14.275 USB.
That is, if the U.S. Marshals haven't shut his station down and dragged him away by then...
