View Full Version : Yaesu FT-7800 Mod
Hello all. I just scored my very first Yaesu FT-7800 and I have looked high and low for the mars/cap mod for it but can't seem to find a good one. The descriptions of the mod from mods.dk don't seem to make any sense and the picture in the german one is just not all that good. If anyone has the mod or has a before/after mod picture that's closeup and clear I would be greatful. Shoot it to my email. grrouch@gmail.com . 73's and thanks.

As you discovered, the 3 manufacturers are changing radio configs for different global regions (think DVD regions). #
They have been getting complaints from ITU member countries about ease of "opening" these radios up - especially when gov't or military use some of those frequencies.
