The military defence of Iraq had been collapsing because of the continuous air attacks by US and RAF aircraft for 10 years prior to the blunder by the US in deciding to attack Iraq.

The people of Iraq had been systematically starved of things which we take for granted like food, water, sanitation in fact everything, because of the embargoes placed on the country by the UN.

The people suffered terrible hardship under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein, his psychopath sons, and the rest of the mob he called a government. Everyone in Iraq was in terror of this monster.

However since the dreadful night of "Shock and Awe" the children, women and men have had to endure even more terrible suffering. The civil war which began 12 months ago, but denied by the "liberators," will get worse before it finally dies out through sheer exhaustion of the terrorists, exactly as happened in Lebanon.
