Maritime mobile ? Mountain topping ? #Do you mean they sailed a boat up a mountain ? # With a radio on board ? Anyway, they found what they thought was an ark on a mountain in Turkey years ago. #Were there two arks ? All together now,
The elephants went in two by two , hoorah, #hoorah.

Per G0GQK:Quote[/b] ]With a radio on board ?
DUH, NO... he had total redundancy in backup equipment. #Everything came aboard by twos! #And I don't see how he could've navigated up a mountain while carrying along those huge, heavy "boat anchor" rigs of his day. # Probably had to add another fifty cubits length to the boat just for the radio shack.
"Everyone came in two by two..." What sad signal reports. #The "hoorahs" had to be for the first signals to make it above the noise level. #Must have been during a trough in the sunspot cycle.

Sounds like the beginnings of a DXpedition to me. Or a special event station.

Check the vote that goes with the article. The majority who voted believe it's true and the next largest group are unsure.
What is also interesting is that there are at least two pre-Judaic religious traditions from that region with their own flood and ark stories.
There is also speculation that the flood which occured when the Bosporus Straits opened and filled the Black Sea Basin with inflow from Mediterranean Sea is the historic event which led to the flood and ark stories. There are numerous submerged villages that have been dated to at least 9000 years ago in the Black Sea. That is about the time geologists estimate the the straits opened wide enough to allow a large, rapid inflow of water raising the level of the Black Sea by 10s of feet in a very short time.

Is this a different ARK-sized object from the one they found a few decades ago that turned out to be somebody's hut? As I recall, they carbon-dated the wood in that one to show that while ancient, it was too new to have had anything to do with Noah.
