MJF Power Supply

Hello. Anybody have any experience with MFJ-4035MV power supply to operate a 2 meter repeater? Power output of Maratrac used as transmitter is 65 watts. Better off going with an Astron supply?

MFJ's quality control issues would put me ill at ease leaving one of their power supplies alone in a semi-critical usage like a repeater.


Too many users might be affected by a failure and the hassles in getting to it to repair or replace just make it not trustworthy enough in my mind for repeater service.

I'd certainly go for the Astron!
