I'm thinking about trying a auto tuner and I'm curious how well this tuner works. Is it sensitive to rf ?Also is there much loss?I run a 40m loop fed with ladder line and I use it on 10-40m.
Thanks,
Ed

Ed,
I have used both the AT-100 and AT-200. They both work very well, and will tune almost anything.
Now, having said that, they can be fooled into re-tuning if you are using them in a multi-transmitter envrionment such as during field day. I first noticed this during our Washington QSO party when I was very close to another transmitter. In this case our antennas were literally only a few feet from one another. What I ended up having to do was to tune the antenna and then turn the tuner off. When the power is removed, the tuner will remain in the state that is was in when last tuned.
Admittedly, this was a special case. In normal use, both in the car and at home, I never have a bit of trouble with my LDG AT-200. I got the 200 simply because I think that the higher power capability might come in handy some day, and the larger components should run a bit cooler.
There are no RF issues in normal usage. I can reccomend the tuner with no problem.

I just ordered the AT200 Pro today along with the 1:1 balun and ACC cable and some other stuff.
Gonna put up my two MFJ 949E's and be done with the constant manual tuning and maneuvering.
I'm glad to see some great comments on LDG.

I bought the LDG AT100 in December 2005. It has replaced an MFJ 949E. The quality difference between the two manufacturers is the difference between night and day! LDG is well designed & of high quality in manufacture. The Opeation Manual is very well written and even explains theory of SWR, current & voltage RF relationships. If you've used or been using a manual tuner get the LDG; I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I ended up buying the At-100.I've had it about 2 weeks now and I absolutley love it .It works just as adveritised. Before I bought it I talked to Dwayne at LDG.He's a great guy and he took the time to answer all my questions.I had been using a manual tuner and I think it will end up in the closet. If anybody is thinking about getting a auto tuner do it. You wont be disappointed.

I bought the AT-100pro and am quite satisfied with it.
Once you get used to the tuning cycle, it works just fine for me. I too came off the MFJ manual tuner.
next time I'll buy the bigger one but this one will continue to be used for travel I'm sure.
