Barbara "Bobbie" Vaughan

My very dear friend "Bobbie" passed away on Feb. 10, 2006 and I will miss her greatly. She and I got our 'General' ticket the same day in 1977 and our 10-X # the same day. Bobbie enjoyed the 10 meter band and especially being a member of 10-X and made many friends on the bands. She attended several 10-X conventions and at the Knoxville, Tn. convention she took a fall when she got off the airplane and she never fully recovered from it. She was a asset to ham radio and kept the 10 meter band lively with her presence.
Ten meters will be quieter and sad without her 'chuckle' and quick wit. I miss you.

It is with great sadness that I now have learned of "Bobbie's" passing. I have spoken to her when conditions were right on 10 meters. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that was unmistakeable.

Being an active 10/10'er at one time, I loved to work Bobbie as she loved to 'rag-chew' as well.

Looking back on my log, I have had the pleasure of many QSO's with Bobby, my condolences to family and friends.
