Several topics that kept climbing back to the top of the list were concerning the hunting accident of Veep Chaney. #Varying points of view spewed forth, from who was to blame, Chaney or Whittington; was Chaney drunk; #pros and cons of hunting and gun safety; analogies drawn between Chaney’s hunting abilities and his duties as V.P.; the indignation of the national press for not being informed sooner; etc. #Everybody had a different opinion, none more outstanding then the others. #

I guess that the SuitSat topic should also get top billing, not because of its abject failure to provide any meaningful service to hams. #No, the popularity (or should I say hilarity) of this topic had to do with one kg4kww who insisted on keeping the rest of us posted #by skillfully and repeatedly returning his post to the top of the Ikonboard. #Although SuitSat failed almost immediately, that did not stop a few members from piling on poor kww. #I believe that the incident has now come to the attention of the US Attorney Generals office. #It is also rumored that Big Dick Chaney offered to settle the disputes but all parties turned him down. #The latest attempt by kww’s opponents is to get him to pilot the SuitSat during reentry to the earths atmosphere. # #You guys are cold.

Although it is old news, M3TMW reminds us to check up on Randy McCloy , the ham and sole survivor of the Sago mine accident. # Latest reports is that Randy is breathing on his own, had the trach tube removed and is learning to speak again, albeit slowly. # Thanks Merv for reminding us. #

Other topics in no particular order – except as they appear top down – Funny movies. #Glad to see that you all enjoy a little humor from the slapstick to the classic. #
Tom, K8ERV voted for GWTW (Gone With The Wind), a movie about the south during the civil war based upon the classic novel written by Martha Mitchell. #Tom, you see, is a damnyankee so I suppose he did think it was funny. #. #

The Natalie Holloway abduction story has surfaced again. #I doubt if we ever find out the truth. #

UFO’s? #Some believe, some don’t. #Some want to believe, some won’t. #Then there are those that believe but won’t admit it. #

WWII Ace Pappy Boyington‘s name came to prominence again as University of Washington students protested a memorial in his honor. # Most responders expressed their disgust, contempt (whatever) for the students although a few were more charitable in their remarks.

KG2B asked for input on unions and boy did he get it. #Some of which he was looking for and some of which I’m sure he would have just not received. #By the way I love that call sign. #Drop the ‘2’ and call CQ – betcha no one answers. #(CQ CQ CQ this is KGB calling CQ #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

KC2ESD tells us that in three years our analog sets will be useless. #Thanks for the heads up Rick, I’ll start saving now.

Bryant Gumbel. #What an idiot. # My apologies for starting that thread. #

KA7RRA is looking for the Fountain of Youth. #Well Heck, it is right here in sunny Florida. #No really, it is North Americas First Historical Site located in St. Augustine.

There’s more, much more. #Feel free to critique your own topics. #(Uh Oh here it comes.)

Mike, MW,

I'm in total agreement with you concerning the "VP Hunting Accident". Sorry that Cheney's friend was hurt, but he's muuuuuuch better now. It was declared an accident by locals and no charges will be filled. But how many Americans will this effect besides Cheney and his friend? Do the math and the answer is zero.

Al Gore's trip to Saudi Arabia making an unfounded claim of Americans abusing Musilims here on US soil went largely unnoticed. I brought the subject up because I wanted everyone here to know that there were more IMPORTANT issues than a hunting accident on private property. What Al Gore said could effect ALL OF US here in the US. "Uncle AL" needs to "apolize'

Here in Maryland our good old Ex-Govenor, current Comptroller, William Donald Schaeffer

http://www.comp.state.md.us/initiatives/whoweare/bio.asp

has been an embaressment to all "red-blooded American Men" by ogling a rather attractive assistant while the legislature was in session. #So far, his short letter of apology has not been accepted as adequate by certain members of the State congress, but he has refused to say or do anything further concerning the matter. #

The jury is still out on this issue! I'm surprised that no one else brought it up on QRZ.COM. It sure has as much going in "talk value" as some of the other topics have had !
