I would feel fairly safe with either except that Cheney has an implanted electrical device which provides a strong electrical jolt at unexpected times. I wouldn't want his finger on the trigger at that moment.

Just keep them away from the sauce and you'll be OK.

Cheney, unless Bill and Hillary were also included in the party. If that was the case I would trade my rifle for a shovel, dig a fox hole and watch the fireworks.

Being familiar with Chappaquidick and Martha's Vineyard, I'm of the personal opinion that Senator Kennedy couldn't have dreamed up a bigger line of baloney if he'd hired speechwriters to concoct his version of what happened that night in 1969.

That he passed several means of getting help and that he simply made some easily mistaken wrong turns is . . . well, it's baloney. I've driven the route. To have that series of mistakes and accidental flubs . . . no way.

I'd rather be:

Horn dogging with Bill Clinton
Golfing with Gerald Ford
Rabbit Hunting with Jimmy Carter
Limosine riding with John Kennedy
Fighting the 'Cong' with John Kerry
Taking speech lessons from GWB
Arm Wrestling Ah Nold
Surfin the Web with Al Gore

The better question would be:

"Would you feel safer hunting with Dick Cheney, or in a room full of Muslims with Al Gore as the speaker?" http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

"Shooooow meeeee the money!"

Post Edit: I'll take my "chances" with the VP

If I was wearing my seatbelt, and had a hammer to break my car window, probably Ted Kennedy.

At this point I think I'd feel safer living on a different planet than all of these politicians. Pick a party, pick a name, whatever works for you, they all seem to be cut from the same cloth of lying, distorting, misrepresenting, some more lying, and add a dash of power-hungriness and you've got a nice recipe for disaster.
I'm sick of hearing about Cheney, and Kennedy's incident from a zillion years ago anytime someone in the Republican party does something wrong, or Clinton anytime someone in the Republican party does something wrong; if they did something wrong in any party it isn't comparable to another incident, it's still wrong. Dredging up the past instead of realizing that it's just repeating itself with a different label serves no purpose at all.
Are people ever going to realize that most of these [insert your favorite insult here] politicians nine times out of ten do not have our best interests in mind? Or for that matter probably really care what we think, except around election time of course.
All these stories every time any stupid little thing happens (like the Cheney deal which is only a story because of their inept handling of it and the fact that he is VP) do nothing but distract from the real fact that the upper one percent of society for the most part not only hold us in contempt but have absolutely no qualms about screwing us in order to prosper their own interests and agendas. Wake up America, you're dreaming.
Whew, I needed a good rant, now I feel better. We now return you to abnormal programming, partisan ranting, and other miscellaneous foolishness (though it is all quite entertaining.)

I really don't appreciate being around any of these people. I have met and known several politicians. I get bad vibes from nearly all of them. I do not care if they are willing to work hard to make a gov't for me and lead the lives they want to lead, but leave me out of the picture. I do not like this "class" of person in general, and they can not have to worry about me wanting to wave at them as they drive by my house, much less dream about recreational activity time sharing.

They should live in their world and leave me alone.

If only they could 'live in their world' without effecting the rest of us, unfortunately much of what they do has a direct effect on our lives financially, socially in terms of world perception, and the larege and scary growing impact on our legal system (the United States has the largest prison population in the world and it's not from violent crime.) I know some people think I'm being arrogant when I go off about partisanship (at least I've been told that here before, though I know that in most cases you have to choose one party or the other to actually win, sadly) but I just wish that some people would stop blindly towing the party line and realize that most politicians are the problem, not the solution.
That was the only point of my little rant, partisan shmartisan, they're mostly the same with a very few, very rare exceptions.

"Partisanship"? "Blindly following party lines?"

You are DEFINATELY one dude that likes to have a good time! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

But for the original question. I would rather be hunting with the VP. My only request is that I get to supply the ammo.

Hmm, I am assuming this is a dig at me (is this part where I'm supposed to care?), I'd like you to point out anywhere that I've ever claimed partisanship over common sense when it comes to political issues or voting. You can't, because I don't, and I never will because party line thinking not only precludes the diversity of this country and it's issues it also ignores making decisions based on FACTS and logic. Towing the party line all the time without regard to the real truths out there is what has gotten us to where we are now, and that ain't good friend. But hey, think what you want, I'm sure you will assume what you want to anyway.

This forum needs more people like YCO. Thank you for the well thought-out post.
