I've been using it about a year and a half now. My "return rate" is not real great - about 35% confirmed.
I use the log programs by N3FJP, so uploading or downloading my contacts only takes a couple of mouse clicks. There are quite a few computer logging programs that support LoTW. If you are not using one, I would highly recommend it.
It's still not as much fun as getting cards in the mail, though!

LOTW is growing in popularity. It appears at this time to be a contest station majority, but more and more DX stations are getting involved and using it. I upload all of my logs to both LOTW and EQSL, and with EQSL leading at this time, they are fairly close in returns. I too also enjoy getting a card in the mail, and replying to same. I think you will wnjoy the program once you get accustomed to it;s operation. Now that WAS can too be tracked, it is becoming more user friendly. More awards are slated to be able to be tracked, so I would think that within 3 years of so a majority of the more popular HF awards will be supported. Hope you enjoy--Scott, KA3QLF

LoTW can be a bit cumbersome I guess, but once you get used to it, it's pretty simple to use. I also use ACLog by N3FJP and exporting my log to both LoTW and eQSL is very easy, generally do it once or twice a month, depending on how active I've been. As far as the return rates, I'm getting about 29% on LoTW and right at 50% on eQSL at this time. Got to agree though, getting a card in the mail can't be beat.

I use LoTW and upload my new QSOs every couple of weeks. I'm running pretty close to 20% confirmations but that varies by mode and activity. I have DXCC awarded soley via LoTW confirmations and need a confirmation from Montana to be ready for WAS via LoTW. It takes several steps to upload my data because my logging program does not support direct connection to LoTW but that may change in a future version.
