The ARRL finally seems to address the use of spotting nets and internet use during contests.

While not formally banning such pre/post contest practices, they have asked that amateurs question contact validity when using these methods. The ARRL also asks amateurs to question their own operating practices when using schedules, net spotting and the internet before, during and post contest.

That was certainly a good lead. I usually follow by the rule that if it seems like I would be doing wrong than I just don't do it. However, that does clear up a few things.

Certainly a good read for any new contesters, and since I am fairly new to contesting I took the time to read it.

Steve-
Check out my shack pic, and you can see my iPod I am proud of on the desk. Also, do you think maybe a NAYN related contest would be good, to raise awareness of the net? Maybe have bonus points for checking into the net? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
