"Ugly mic syndrome" is not the only issue being experienced with the 7000...

I looked at eham, and most give it glowing reviews. At least the first couple pages.

Look closely at the reviews where the runaway PA on TX problem is mentioned. Perhaps it's a QC issue with the first run; I'm not going to fork out that kind of money to beta-test anything. Sad thing is, I really wanted one of those rigs for my mobile station...
