I recently had the pleasure of doing business with Rob Gallagher, KD1MF. Rob had recently listed a homebrew 6-meter amplifier for sale on QRZ and I had been looking for one.
Since the amp was homebrew, I had a number of questions as to construction, circuit design, etc. Rob responded very fast to my initial email asking for information, and followed up with detailed photos of the amp and it's construction. He then followed up with a fax of the circuit schematic and a copy of the original construction article from QST.
He detailed the circuit changes he made and then followed up with pictures of the output testing he did to show me that the amp indeed worked and was putting out the promised power. All of this for what amounted to an $83.00 transaction. The amp was double boxed and shipped the day he got the money order from me. I just received the amp and it is everything he told me it was.
It does not get any better than this!
Rob is one of the Good Guys that make ham radio better for all of us.
