I upgraded the PC in my shack because I was running out of storage, so I am offering my old shack PC for sale. Here are the specs:
Twin AthlonMP 1.4GHz Processors
Tyan S2460 TigerMP Main board
1GB ECC PC2100 DDR SDRAM
4 120GB Maxtor ATA-133 Drives w/ Hardware Raid-5 Card w/ 256MB Cache
4 160GB Seagate/WD ATA-100 drives w/ Software Linux Raid5
Total 840GB of Storage (can be up to 1120GB if you want to give up redundancy - not recommended)
Enlight EN-8900 series pedestal chassis
All 8 drives in removable slide rails
Two 10/100 NIC Cards
System will be wiped and reinstalled with RedHat 9. I will also configure Samba for you so you can access the storage space from Windows machines (with no warranty or support).
The Raid5 card will only work in certain Linux distributions and also with most versions of Windows. I cannot install Windows for you.
The weight on this system is approximately 60 pounds, and the originating zip code is 19446. I will ship via USPS or UPS only. I will only ship insured, and buyer will pay for professional packaging.
