Does anyone have any thoughts on the IC-2720H Dual Band Radio, pros or cons? I am interested in the radio or a similar model by another manufacturer.

I've only had mine a few weeks.
Ham down the road has had one for 3 or so years. no problems.
I wish they had put seperate memory set up for #right and left sides of the radio, not just a string.
They do have a system to clump groups of memories but i didnt dig into that yet.
Power on each side can be controled indiviually. So you can run high power on uhf #and low on #vhf.
has a switch that cycles between # memory, call and weather channels. # WX channels are pre loaded in special memory. #Also has WX #alert mode as well
as #call alert.
Does cross band repeat #but you need to find out how from #internet or someone who has done it.
Its not mentioned in #op guide.
Power level is set in the memory so check power setting before you memorize a channel. lt may default to high power when you don't want it..by changing memory channels.
