Ah, but the powers of Baseball Genius, the enduring knowlege of the sport, the strategy of the suicide squeeze, sacrificing or swinging away, the double steal, scoring on a short fly to right, all distinct pleasures lost on those not familiar with the workings of the game. Europeans tried - and failed to master this sport, which is one of the few aerobic sports that also gives upper body strenght and excellent hand-eye coordination (probably why it's not an Olympic sport anymore - unlike snowboarding).
