Anybody besides me catch the item on one of the national moring shows that had home video of a fair sized possum that got brought in the house with the live Christmas tree? I am not sure how they missed seeing that sucker hidden in the branches but they claimed the first they knew about it was when the star or angel that was the top ornament on the tree got knocked off the tree and there was this big ol' possum up there looking at them. Somebody got the video cam out and got a short view of the thing. I was struck by the reporters comments after the piece, something about back where he came from that would have been the Christmas tree and the Christmas dinner. The dude must be some relation to 4EP!

Maybe there should be possums in all live trees that are brought indoors as a safety measure. . #The trees are very flammable and I am sure that in the event of fire a possum would try to pee out a fire before he got roasted.

In southern Australia possums are so common that people have to protect parked cars from pretorial possum piss. #I kid you not. #Maybe some VK could confirm this.

Oh really? #No.. Opossum.

Due primarily to the fact that 'possums hang upside-down by their prehensile (all you NCTs go look that up) tails, they are loathe to pee in a tree.

Heck maybe the possums down under in Aussie land are inverted urinists and only American possums have to turn over a new leaf in order to relieve themselves. Australian Possums are marsipials like kangaroos and don't want to pee in their own pockets or on their prehensil tails, which they wouldn't do if they peed from an upright position. They are not aimless.

We have opossums in Texas as well. In fact, several years ago, a couple came up from the neighborhood park and took up residence in my attic. Had to get a "live trap" from animal control to catch them. Then had to find where they were getting in.

Why would you want to try to net a possum? Just shoot em and eat em.

I much prefer to peel and cook 'em first.
