I wouldn't get too excited about an "internet only radio show" as very few people will ever see it, or even know about it. I was hoping this was going to be a REAL national broadcast show on one of the big TV networks. We amateurs truly need better national coverage and we need it sans ARRL rhetoric!

What happened to RF is the same as what happened to America. NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE LIKE EMERY!!! At least we know he as done his part and continues to do so. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif If he is backed up now his program, and Amateur Radio may receive national RF coverage. Many people talk, few people act.

Just for grins I tried to go to the Stardust site. To log on requires you to download their player. I dont think I will be downloading unknown software. Why can't it use one of the media players out there already?http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif Just another unnecessary hurdle....

Hi guys,

"Just for grins I tried to go to the Stardust site. To log on requires you to download their player."

Uh uh, use Windows Media Player or Realplayer which I believe are now Mac compatible.

You can listen to them and a gazillion others on Live 365 which among many other Inet servers offer a free Thompson mp3 player which is hardly unknown software.

"Wow, I thought for a minute I was reading quotes from Canadian hams. "

What WERE you thinking? The US must be the only country that doesn't call it football.

"What is folling?"

Failed trolling.

"I will be tuned in to the show as soon as I figure out how to get tuned in and where."

"Since it's the internet, wouldn't it be a International talk show?"

Internetational.

"What ever happened to RF.."

It's there, see above. The radio station aparantly has one of the very few remaining Internet feeds because being talk they don't have to pay double royalty to music artists. Yeah, the greedy RIAA killed that one before they started having kids arrested for sharing music. BTW, that's why you don't have a DAT tape recorder, that's the first thing they killed.

"NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE LIKE EMERY!!!"

Sure they do, he's more popular than ever since they ground him up as an abrasive. Now if you want good TV you'll have to spell it right, Ermy, as in R. Lee. HOOrah!

Cute Warren very cute!!!
I would like to clear up an eairlier statement i made in a reply.
(There are not enough people like Emery) is what I meant.
I can't understand some of you wanting to be negative about what he is trying to do. If you are a real ham and you are a real American, just stand behind the man. If we stick together we will someday get national coverage. If we do not then we have allot more we stand to lose. And all you neggies can't fool me. There is no chance you will miss that show and for two reasons. One you will have to know what happens. And two you have to get listen in order to make your next negative comments. So see ya there!!! Just think. In the time it takes to make these post, you could have made a possitive influence, or possitive change. That is what Emery and people like him do with their spare time. You ought to try it it works. There are simply not enough of them to go around, but every where you look there is negative people and misleading people. It is more often the negatve things that take up the prime time national coverage. Beacause there are more of you than he. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
But you will be there like you are here, you will be impressed but wont admit it. You have very strange ways of saying "we admire you Emery."
But I'm sure he realizes it!
Don't be jelous.....Just be there!!!
And just as an insentive to you if you haven't changed your mind yet. National statistics show that most people in interviews make at least one mistake. So there you have it he is bound to make at least one mistake you can critisize. Maybe now you can justify to yourselves a reason for being there, cause we all know you will
be. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Well - The net and following interview went very well. #Most of the greetings to the listening troops were transmitted in the net via RF with EchoLink and the ARMAD conference there used for cooridination and to tie it all together. If anyone is interested, the audio from the net is here: ARMAD Net Audio From 1-8-06 (http://kennethben.com/ARMAD/January-08-2006/ARMAD_Conference-01-08-06.MP3)

And the interview with Emery McClendon is here:

Here is an example of a LIVE internet radio show that usually gets somewhere between 50 and 150 real-time listeners every week, and a lot more from the archive. #
