What is the web site or web sites that an ordinary person ( whether licensed amateur radio operator, or just plain USA citizen ) can use to contact the FCC about rule violators on the 11 meter ( CB ) band or any of the amateur bands ?

There should not be but a couple...and some folks might wish to know what they are.

Surely ther FCC has at least ONE website..this is the year 2005.

Some one asked me if I knew it, I said no...but I can ask here and you can come here and read it like every one else does.

Is there a problem ?

FCC enforcement bureau. (http://www.fcc.gov/eb/)

For amateur radio "issues" the FCC says to send email to fccham@fcc.gov

The above link has a section on how to file complaints for the various services.

......you mean THAT is it ?

Geez, they problably get enough complaints in one day to go the next month....just about one area of communication ( cb / amateur / broadcast tv & radio / public service / cell / etc ).....not to mention the ones they got last week that aint been solved yet....or the ones from last summer or even last year ( 2004 )..!!

What I think you are looking for is along the left there, under "How to file complaints," with the links to things like "amateur radio complaints," "Consumer Telephone-Related Complaints," etc.

I have recieved no less than several e-mails asking me " Who you gonna rat / snitch / tell on...ep ?"

No one...like I mentioned earlier...some one e-mailed ME and asked if I knew how to contact the fcc with rule violators. I e-mailed them back and sais " I will ask on qrz and some one will tell all of us and YOU can go from there ".

So I did

Now folks are fussing at me

Oh well.

po...I just learned recently that the " pills " on the cb amplifiers are not what I had thought they were.

I thought they were the large resistors in the units ( since they were oblong and resembled some of the size medicine pills for various ailments )...but nope...it is the little WHITE output transistors that are mounted in / through the circuit board with the letters & numbers stamped on the upper side of them.

Gee...extra class and I didnt know what " pills " were in reference to cb amplifiers ...after all these years.

Amazing what you can learn by listening to 75 meters. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Try this one: #Lbrock@fcc.gov or...........................

214-575-6361 #or.......................................

FCC Field Office
9330 LBJ Freeway
Suite 1170
Dallas, TX 75243-3470

Might try:

Fred.Broce @fcc.gov
Or........
FCC Field Office
3575 Koger Blvd, Suite 320
Duluth, Ga.

Or.........

770-935-3370

That office (Dallas) handles all the CB misdeeds and is where the busts against CB dealers, etc. are headed up. Don't know if this will help, but might.

Also see if your city has a copy of PL-106-521 and/or their own ordinance. If not , you can certainly put a bug in your Councilman's ear!

You heard that on 75? You have to wonder what idiot came up with pill as a reference to output transistors.

Just more evidence that the vast majority of CBers are disfunctional.

nah they are not dysfunctional....just being theirselves.
