This guy is K1MAN for the evening. Wonder if he had one too many Jose Cuervo's? Trying to get the full callsign and all I got so far is W5 something...

Apparently he has disappeared and maybe QRT'ed or moved around the band.
He kept ranting an raving about no phoenetic's and not replying. Used lots of abusive language and it's also pretty apparent he can't stand Riley. Swore all up and down Riley will be gone by the end of this year.
Quite amusing to hear this man have such a complex and get bent out of shape over people not using phoenetics to ID themselves.
Madness I tell ya...

I spoke too soon about him being off the air... He has showed up now on 7.248 MHz

Okay... He has disappeared again. Looks like he is now jumping into the middle of conversations and maliciously interfering with QSO's. Wonder what will happen when the WAS nets like the HHH net come on.
Not cool if he interferes with them...

If history repeats itself, anywhere between $10K-$21K in NAL... http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Allow me to expand on that ...
Not cool if the dumbass interferes with anyone!
WAS nets represent nothing special as compared to any other QSO on the band. #Just more participants, not more important.
I prefer to chase states/counties/countries the old fashioned way ... by spinning the dial!

Agreed.
9 band CW WAS achieved here by a lot of VFO spinning. Use of a WAS net or DX net is like shooting fish in a barrel.

He went down to 7.208 MHz about 0700 UTC and started butting into another QSO asking what the H&*$! was that kind of concrete used for and being rude about it.
I hope someone was able to get his callsign. I have a micro tape recorder, but I only have one tape right now and it's being used for work. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
I will be listening in more here soon to see what I can start to do in getting the ball rolling for Riley to deal with him. It will take time I am sure though.

Why would anybody go to all the trouble catching a bunch of fish, and then putting them into a barrel and shoot at them?
And what do you think the fish think about the whole thing?
Lets show some sensitivity here folks.
All joking aside, I agree with AD4MG. With luck, the dial can provide contacts which might not be possible after the spotters get wind of them.
And true sport fishermen (and gals) know that catching the fish is only half the sport. The main goal was just to get out on the water. Sometimes we just want to be free, and see what the HF world has to offer, without pileups and rapids messing things up.

I always thought the goal of fishing was to get away from the wife for a few hours, loaf and drink beer..

Your opinion, You still have to work them regardless of how and where you find them.

Ah, I get it. There's that "DX net" at 14247. I dunno. It sounded like pimping to me. Though I'll admit, sheepishly, that I did try it - one of the corralled DX stations sounded interesting. Then I went back to 15 metres and spun the VFO dial some more. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
This is the future of ham radio and some of y'all just don't get it. The general public knows very little about our ability to provide communications in times of emergency. What they would more likely understand here in the 21st century is that ham radio keeps quite a number of social retards busy and off the streets. Consider yourselves to be providing a public service keeping that W5 on the air ranting and raving rather than out in public picking on children or small animals. We need some press exposure on this. The headline could read: Volunteer Ham Radio Operators Lessen The Load On Overworked Mental Institutions. Maybe later: Federal Gubbmint To Set Aside Additional Radio Spectrum For Nutcase Radio Geeks.

I don't think they do. This is obviously a SSB slop bucket mouther, that lives on voice not CW.
Speaking of fishing, reminds me of the personal ad:
"Wanted: Female companionship. A woman that enjoys fishing and camping out. Send picture of boat and motor when replying."

Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

And if you are what you eat, then ground squirrels are truely nuts. Well, not really, they eat other stuff too.
