Harry Hammond, WD5EOF, passed away October 11. #He was a staple at Field Day outings for the Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club, and was always a joy to be around. #He also avidly enjoyed CW.

He has gone to the great Amateur Radio Station in the Sky. Rest in peace, Harry.

LAWRENCE "HARRY" HAMMOND born May 9, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Mr. Hammond was a proud Veteran, serving in World War II and Korea with the U.S. Navy. He was an avid HAM Radio Operator for many years. Mr. Hammond was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Hammond and his son, Brian Hammond. He is survived by his mother, Pearl Belleson; sons, Greg and wife Susan, and Mark and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Mark, Jr., Melissa, Christine, Michael, Nicholas, Stephanie, Reed, Angelina, Jonathan, and Alexandra; great-grandchildren, Chase, Paige, Darian, and Kaya; sister, Patricia Gray; and numerous other loving family members and friends. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
