I'm sure these are genuinely nice people and they seem to love children. But c'mon, do you think sixteen children is being a little selfish?

It wouldn't be my cup of tea.
I'd be a little reluctant to vote for him in an election. I think he would have enough to do at home with his kids let alone holding a State level elected office.

Overpopulation is a burden on us all.
That's my view of it.

Young children are a gift. Teenagers are someone's sick idea of revenge. I say this having been gifted two of them along with a head full of rapidly greying hair. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I can't stand 'em between about 8 and 10. It's the age range when they start to get intelligent but are still unable to consider the other person's point of view / comfort / safety. And, yes, I was quite the little monster myself at that age.

True. And I might add they better count on paying me back for all the junk I bought them.

Maybe getting elected to office will stop the guy from having anymore kids. It might give him something to do in his spare time. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

My best guess....besides that if I blame it on the XYL I end up catching a shoe from across the room. So far the kids don't take anything seriously enough to throw shoes. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Getting elected to public office will only stop him from having anymore kids with his wife. This does not mean he won't have anymore kids. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I love children (have 2) but 16 and still wanting more is going a little bit far. It must be interesting on Christmas morning though. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

My wife and I only have one daughter. When my wife figured out what had caused it she simply quit doing it.
My daughter graduated from high school last spring and is currently working. She plans to move into an apartment with friends soon.
While I wish her well, I have serious doubts that her friends will keep up the commitment of having an apartment and she will end up footing the bills and or moving back in with us. I have no problems with that but just h o p e she don’t bring any children with her.
I honestly don’t know how you could support a large family these days. It was tough enough for us with only one. Both my wife and I worked and made reasonable amounts of money while my daughter was in school, but with the high costs of everything I really don’t see how you could afford to even feed that many kids these days.

I don't like my own kids. But then I don't like my wife or dog either. Or me.-------- ( I am an equal-opportunity dis-liker).

Are they feeding them? Clothing them? Disciplining them? #Are they drug abusing heathens? and wellfare cases? They all looked clean and groomed, and sound like nice folks. #Maybe ya ought to focus on the Junky whose having her 3rd drug addicted baby and pass some mandantory sterilization laws. Just a thought. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
I raised 7, 4 boys & 3 girls mostly by myself, but when they got older my folks and my older sister pitched in to help with 5 teenagers all in high school at the same time. Not advisable, but they were all worth it in the long run. Not a bum or criminal in the bunch.
