Mike McLoughlin KB1LMI of Guilford, CT owes me $1000.00 for equipment sold to him at the begining of 2005. I sold him two Collins 75A1 rx, 75A2 for parts, 75A3 requiring some work, 75A4, 75S1 and 32S1, 30S1 needed little work, 30L1 with extra set of tubes, Hammarlund HQ170 and HQ180, Alpha 374A, SB-220.
I charged $3500.00I was given a check for $2500 and another check for $1000.00 with a date of the following week.
The $2500 check bounced and a follow up replacement check for $2500 bounced...insufficient funds. Finally I was able to cash the $1000 check and a $1500 check newly sent with the excuse of having money trouble. After several months of constant e-mails and telephone calls, I received an e-mail stating that he was not satisfied with the quality of the equipment.."it was a lot of junk". i suggested that if he were so dissatisfied, I would gladly refund all the money he had paid when he returned all the equipment.
Evidently this person is dishonorable. I have not beena ble to get a response for several months. I would be glad to refund the money if all the equipment were to be returned.
KB1LMI Mike McGloughlin is not what HAMS used to be.
I feel that he is dishonest and a disgrace to HAM RADIO.
