View Full Version : Sky Command... Go? or No!
The proposal to allow auxiliary station on 2m is still at the NPRM stage. The comment period has closed, and speculation as to when the FCC will issue a decision is as productive as twiddling one's thumbs.
It's a shame, because I'd like to see it be legal (even though I had a problem with Kenwood's earlier request for a declaratory ruling to that effect).

I saw an advertisement in QST by Kenwood for Skycommand II. Dunno if that means the first one is verboten.

Interestingly enough, I too saw the advertisements touting SkyCommand II and wondered if it was different from the system on my TS2000X. I fired off an E-Mail to Kenwood and was told, in their reply, that it is the same system as has been used all along.
I guess it is like seeing NEW AND IMPROVED on a box of laundry detergent!
