I am collecting newspaper and magazine articles about amateur radio's role in Hurricane K. These include major stories in newspapers like the New York Times and Washington Post, all the way down to small snippets from your town weekly about a local ham.
Why?
This compilation will be a tremendous public relations resource for amateur radio for quite a while. Whatever I'm able to compile will be made available to the whole amateur community.
But we have to take the time now to build the database. Please post links to any and all print-media stories that address amateur radio's role in Hurricane Katrina. Alternately, email full text (exact and complete) to my qrz.com email address -- ww2e at frontiernet dott net.
Don't assume I've already seen anything -- even the big stories. I'm starting from scratch.
With your help, this will be a big benefit to us all in the future.
Thanks and 73 de Phil WW2E
