I had previously made a deal with this man for a trade of a TS-440SAT and V8000 for a used 857D. We had spoke on the phone and confirmed the deal and I had paid and sent the package out the next day (sunday evening fedex). I called him today (tuesday) to confirm his end of the deal and he said he was needing to get on the ball, my first sign of trouble.. I had already ordered the FC-30 autotuner from universal radio however the order hasnt been processed... I get an email from N0YG stating the following:

Brad
I have decided not to do the deal, the reasons are personal. I will not be sending you the Yaesu and I will refuse your package when it arrives. Sorry for the inconvenience.

out $20 shipping, out the time of not using the rigs, out the pain of packing everything and taking all the power cables out of the car, possibly out the money for the FC-30.... how more inconsiderate and rude could he possibly be. Seller/buyer beware.... you dont want to deal with this man.

I did a " cut and paste" from his QRZ info page:

It appears that you have been dealing with a person who is 2 weeks shy of his 105th birthday... I hear alarm bells going off all over the place.....

Glad i did a return to sender asap then. No wonder i hate everyone then make exceptions. I can't even trust a ham these days. Anyways so much for that. I'll have the radios back on the 27th from fedex.

Brad
I saw an ad from this guy wanting to trade a Yaesu 7800 for a VX-5 HT.
I have one and so I messaged him with my interest in a deal.
He replied that he had made a mistake in the listing and did not want a trade.

Now how do you make a mistake and request a specific trade and not realize it?!? Seems like more is going on here than he admits.
Did he ever respond to you about your failed deal?

For the record I had an extremely positive transaction recently with Brad and would not hesitate to repeat it.
