Was so bright up here Saturday night that it was casting shadows. This was in town with street lights and such nearby. Out of town must have been really great to see.
Lit up the sky real nice. Have not seen an aurora display this great in years.

al2n, were you able to work any stations via aurora?
I have not looked into working aurora. Not sure if I have the right rig for the job.

I am wondering how long this activity will last? I want to do more researchl. I am fairly new to Ham Radio and have expressed an interest in weather and astronomy. Were can I find more info?
Voices sounded really cool on 75 meter "Motley Net" last night. Deep, superfast QSB with a distinct flavor of talking down a long tube. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
